time to …

‘Because without time there could be no reactions to actions, no consequences.  Without time, decisions need not be considered for their implications and effects.  We had all been drifting in a comfortable Void without responsibilities.’*

“Listen to your life.  See it for the fathomless mystery it is.”**

Without time there can be no mystery.  Everything exists in the same moment and at the same point.  But time is quite something else, a game changer.  It introduces us to what cannot be seen or known in this moment.  It invites us to move and journey, to be open and to discover.

This is true both for what lies beyond us, whatever we count the other to be – places, ideas, people, and what lies within us – the thing that captures my attention today.

Time both invites and challenges me.  I am not only what I am in this moment.  I can be more than this.  Time provides me with freedom.  Freedom to be me and not someone else, dealing envy a serious blow.  I don’t need what someone else has.  I only need delve, dive, leap into the depths of who I was and am and can be.   And because of this, I’m able to face the whole truth about myself without being crushed because time makes it possible to change:

‘The person who fails the most, wins.’^

What if?

What if time makes it possible for you and me to endlessly explore who we can be in all the circumstances of life: work, age, illness, … ?

‘Frequently, I had no particular destination in mind but was merely following a natural curiosity to understand how the Void had been transformed by time.’*
